Manifesta Phenomenon!
From its appearance in Rotterdam in 1996, the Manifesta contemporary art event has opted for a nomadic existence throughout Europe, relocating its operational base every two years. Manifesta provides an exciting curatorial model for recurring arts events because it embraces the idea of art as a work in progress, an organic, constantly expanding network across geographies and cultures.

The Arts Festival
Do arts festivals have a natural life span? How do they influence the development of local cultural production?

Cultural Tourism - event marketing and management
Over the last twenty years all tiers of Australian government have noted the value of culture in attracting the tourist dollar. How successful and how committed are governments and organisations at tapping into and nurturing this niche market? Who or what is the typical cultural tourist?

The Art Fair - combining commercial imperatives with Cultural Chutzpah
Initially developed to cater to a small professional elite of dealers and major private and public collectors, Art Fairs now successfully compete with established cultural events such as biennales and blockbuster exhibitions in drawing large audiences and major press coverage.
