IWOPF'2001 was held at the Byron Kennedy Hall of Fox Studios from the 26th to the 29th of July 2001. Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of New South Wales, officially launched the Fair.

The Fundraising Gala Opening Night was held on Wednesday 25 July 2001, from 6.00pm to 9.00pm at the Byron Kennedy Hall. This event was co-hosted by the Art Gallery Society of New South Wales. To see some images of this event, please click here
