  • Music at the Gala Opening THE BROADCASTERS A unique contemporary music ensemble of some of Australia's most experienced musicians and composers with Michael Bartolomei, Graham Jesse and David Stratton forming the nucleus. [Read details]
  • At the Mosman Art Gallery: July 16 - September 5 IKUNTJI TJUTA Located in the remotest region of Australia, Haasts Bluff is the locus of an Aboriginal community whose art is setting an international standard for indigenous art. This highly spiritual art tells stories from the dreaming and life in the desert. Exhibition organised by the Campbelltown Regional Gallery.
  • The Art Gallery of New South Wales features in July "Contemporary Photography": Photography c. 1975-85 from their collection.
  • Opening on Friday 23rd July 1999, Silicon Pulp's fifth exhibition entitled Relics from Rustic Animations showcases the work of two of Australia's most original and innovative animation artists, Bruce Currie and John Wilkinson. [Read story | Comming attractions]

  • The Manly Art Gallery and Museum Society members are invited to a tour to the Byron Kennedy Hall to enjoy the art fair on Sunday 24 July from 11am to 3pm. Tour guide will be Therese Kenyon Director of Manly Art Gallery.

  • Announcing the selected artists for the inaugural Emerging Artists Exhibition: Kate Bliss from Sydney College of the Arts; Jen Cabraja from Sydney College of the Arts; Janet Loxton from Hornsby TAFE; Alison Munro from A.N.U. Canberra School of Art; Robert Sherwood Duffield from University of Newcastle.
