This year, IWOPF introduced special assistance for emerging artists.Four artists were chosento showcase their work atIWOPF'99 in a special stand.The four artists chosen were Kate Bliss from Sydney College of the Arts;Jen Cabraja from Sydney College of the Arts; Janet Loxton from Hornsby TAFE;Alison Munro from A.N.U. Canberra School of Art; Robert Sherwood Duffieldfrom University of Newcastle.
The artists hung their work and manned the stand during the exhibition.All in all, this initiative was a great success with the artists' work exposedto both major galleries and collectors.
